How to make your own wipe-on poly

Save money and make your own wipe-on poly! It’s super simple. Get a clean container (in the video I used an old glass yogurt pot), pour in half oil based polyurethane and half white spirits. Stir until fully mixed, then you’re set! Just use a lint free cloth to wipe the mixture onto your wood. Takes at least 3 coats for a good coverage (make sure to sand between coats). Very user/beginner friendly. Happy varnishing!

Quick tip: Make sure to use this in a well ventilated room because it can have quite the potent smell!
